Some other things about me:
Hello there, I’m Cassandra, and I have over 12 years of experience working in media agencies in London and Sydney. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on various project management systems, from the good to the bad and the non-existent.
As I progressed from a junior to an agency owner/startup founder, I observed that many project management tools on the market are designed for enterprise solutions and not suitable for small businesses operating remotely.
Throughout my career, I faced the frustration of project management deliverables and the tools tasked to use. I would receive out-of-work hour calls, and after closing a project and sending an invoice, I was left with lingering questions such as “How long did that take?” or “Was it within the budget?”.

With the onset of COVID-19, I embraced the changes it brought to my thriving tourism business. When I could not secure work in my preferred field in regional NSW, I started freelancing my media experience to local companies while juggling my startup tourism business on the weekends. I decided to step full-time into the agency and begin my new venture, Candid Marketing, helping local companies to shift to operating online.
In 2021, I realised that I had spent $17,000 on project management, time tracking, and industry software for my small business in one year, identifying a need for overlapping software tools required to run a growing digital business. After this realisation, I went home and started wireframing (drawing) the primary mapping of a new piece of software to combat all the issues I had experienced at every level of my career, managing clients, projects, teams and tracking time.
It wasn’t until late 2021 that I realised how many businesses would benefit from CanTicket and decided to prepare to make it publicly available. Since then, I have participated in multiple accelerators. I am thrilled to provide businesses with a unique and powerful solution that simplifies project management and streamlines workflows, enabling teams to collaborate efficiently and making everyone’s lives easier.
Some other things about me:

I launched my agency, managed my tourism business and planned CanTicket, all while learning how to be a mother to Maxwell. (2018)

In 2018 and 2019, I was a State Finalist for my tourism startup with the NSW Business Chamber for the “Excellence in MicroBusiness and Outstanding Young Entrepreneur” categories.

I only realised what CanTicket was once I was sitting in a fencing business, looking at his whiteboard of job cards while waiting to be served. Since then, I have participated in multiple incubators. (2022)
